Dr. Murphy is Clinical Director of the Rhode
Island Spine Center. He is on the Clinical Faculty
at Brown University School of Medicine as well as
on the Postgraduate Faculty of four chiropractic
schools. He has received postgraduate training in
neurology, rehabilitation and sports medicine. He
lectures throughout the world on various topics
related to back pain, neck pain and headaches.
He has published numerous articles in the scientific
literature as well as the mainstream press in
addition to a major textbook on neck problems.
Dr. Murphy studied acting before becoming a
chiropractor and enjoys exercise, movies, music,
travel, reading, spending time at the beach and
rolling around in the living room with his children.
He lives in Cranston with his wife, Dr. Laura Murphy
and three daughters, Jessica, Alison and Melissa.
